Maui Permaculture Design
Course Sept – Nov 2021

We have adapted the curriculum to be much more hands on. Our classes tend to be at least 50% hands on. Along with covering course material, we’ll have field trips to existing projects around the island.

The Maui Class is going to be just over four weekends, on Friday and Saturdays from 9am-4pm. Bring snacks, lunch, hydration, and gloves.

TOPICS WE WILL COVER
• Reading landscapes and patterns in nature
• Plant propagation and seed saving
• Tropical agroforestry
• Water strategies – catchment, ponds, grey water
• Natural building techniques
• Mapping and site analysis
• Jobs in permaculture

We are integrating movie nights open to the public. Starting September 7th, we’ll show short movies on Tuesday evenings. The movies will be relevant to appropriate technology, regenerative AG, and indigenous knowledge. Afterwards, we’ll have a talk story session and we’ll talk about what we learned.

We will also have guest speakers and tickets will be available for the public. Stay tuned for more details.

This course will have limited availability and the class is is already filling quickly.
